Stefano Ceccherini 4fd3a03652 Remove "CanControlFrameBuffer" again, since it wasn't the cause of the crash: 
width and height were off by one, and ParticlesII was writing out of the
frame buffer. Some style cleanups.

Stefano Ceccherini 3bd4966700 Now also hide/show the cursor when BDirectWindow::SetFullScreen() is called. 
in the handler, instead of checking if the window is an offscreen one,
check if fDirectWindowData is NULL, and do nothing if it's the case.
When setting a clip region in ServerPicture, also invalidate the clipping.
To do so, I added a public ServerWindoow::UpdateCurrentDrawingRegion()
which just calls the private function. Please review and see if it can
be done better. This fixes the problem with BPicture and the 
ConstrainClippingRegion() op (see ticket #1389)

Stefano Ceccherini 4695f67019 Completed the server part of BDirectWindow::SetFullScreen(). The window is 
now resized and moved correctly. Moved this functionality to its own method.
Should fix bug #4168.

Stefano Ceccherini c3d7cee2d9 Instead of creating the Modifiers bitmaps on demand, for every DrawItem invocation, 
for every BMenuItem, have them created in _init_interface_kit(), and keep
them cached. This required some reorganisation of the code in Menu and MenuItem.
Also has the side effect that BMenuItem doesn't have to know about the
alt/ctrl/command keys stuff.
Added a comment in BMenu::AttachedToWindow().

Stefano Ceccherini b20d13f4a6 The JPEG translator config view was using its own layouting code, 
and its own version of a BTabView. This worked correctly on beos, but since it
hardcoded some things, didn't look correct on haiku (due to the new look).
I just removed the layouting code, and adapted the rest to fit well.
This fixed the weird white line which was
showing up. Note that the jpeg2000 translator needs to be fixed in the same way.

Stefano Ceccherini 321bba933d Vertical menu scrolling was enabled also in case the menu was wider than the screen, but this is obviously wrong. The menu window was also resized to be the height of the screen in this case, and it was the cause of bug #3174. Note that horizontal scrolling is not yet implemented

Stefano Ceccherini d0406f388a found out the problem with the endless loop, or at least, worked around it: get_device_hid() was screwing the tree enumeration in some way, so I commented it out for the time being. Some snprintf -> strlcpy changes, reduced debug output

Stefano Ceccherini 3ece3174bf more work on the acpi dumper: I had to limit the amount of returned data to 200 iterations, because it seems that the acpi dumping method enters an endless loop (after the device _AMR it goes back to the parent). There are still some issues, but it's still better than now

Stefano Ceccherini 06679066a3 worked on the acpi namespace dumper: I kept the recursive implementation of the function, but I had to use a different thread, then, to read the data, without smashing the buffer passed by read(). It still doesnt' work correctly 100% (because I obviously made some stupid mistake, please review), but at least 'cat /dev/acpi/namespace' doesn't KDL anymore, and it even shows something.

Stefano Ceccherini 0dcbaee24a Screen was assuming setting a 800x600 mode would work anyway, but currently the Intel driver only supports the 'native' mode for laptop panels. Added a 'strict' parameter to SetBestMode which, if true, fails if it doesn't find any mode with the passed width. If false, and can't find any good mode, just uses the first mode in the list (could be improved). This fixes bug #2350

Stefano Ceccherini bf732017df if_re freebsd driver, adapted for the build by Francesco Piccinini. It 
supports many Realtek based NIC which our own driver doesn't support 
(for example the RTL8101E). Thanks! Not added to the image yet, since it 
causes some problems on my laptop (but could well be caused by the 
freebsd compat layer, or by the scheduler)

Stefano Ceccherini d6a7cd2564 Checking the return value of methods is always a good idea. This fixes a KDL I'm getting on start with vmware when including the acpi module in the build. Now, finding why this happens in the first place would be nice.
