Marcus Overhagen f9e04ff0e1 This removes pxe_stage1.S and thus also removes the build target "pxehaiku". 
In r21611, about 3 years ago, the switch into protected mode was moved 
from stage1 to stage2, which makes stage1 obsolete. You have to use 
"pxehaiku-loader" when booting Haiku by PXE on x86.

Trying to use stage1 to boot stage2 resulted in tripple fault during
setup of ss segment, because stage1 switches to protected mode before
calling stage2, but stage2 expects real mode. The documentation is not
up to date.

Marcus Overhagen 5987738cbe Faster bus scan by reusing device presence information that is available before 
resetting the bus. This allows to skip devices that are not present. Works for
most but not all devices. Sometimes device 0 pretends that a device 1 exists,
but it's usefull anyway.
Allow working device 1 only configurations by not selecting device 0 anymore
for identification. Moved indentification from Reset into BusScan to do everything
in a single step. A SATA emulation in combined mode might have a slave (device 1)
only configuration when only one device is connected, depending on the port.
Also tested with PATA.
Recovery for lost interrupts. Works but is dead slow because of the timeout.
Bus reset isn't possible anymore, this needs to be implemented in a save way.

ata and ata_adapter instead of ide and ide_adapter, and also edit 
add-ons/kernel/busses/Jamfile to subinclude ata instead of ide.

Marcus Overhagen 34d49541b0 !!! To use with the ATA stack, change #define ATA_STACK from 0 to 1 !!! 
Adapted to new ata stack. Works now. Hopefully useable with ide stack, too.

Modified to fix the DMA problem introduced with the last change. 
Since the interrupt is already cleared in the interrupt handler,
we can no longer test the interrupt bit in finish_dma().

Marcus Overhagen e0b95e98eb ATA/ATAPI Host Adapters Standard T13/1510D revision 1, page 14 
Bus Master ATA Status Register, bit 2:

> NOTE - even if the device status is read, causing the device
> to deassert INTRQ, this bit shall be cleared as well.

Clearing this bit fixes DMA transfers for me.
Those didn't work because ICH9 ATA controller in
PCI native mode wouldn't stop firing interrupts
without explicit clearing, despite device status
read.

Marcus Overhagen 4a2e45ea36 According to ATA-4 specification, the error and device-fault 
bit (and all other status register bits) are only valid when
the busy bit is zero. This makes PIO mode work on a WD Raptor.

Marcus Overhagen 4738637486 The AHCI controller doesn't natively support ATAPI commands. 
Instead, one needs to execute the ATA command 0xa0 (PACKET) using
a normal ATA PIO FIS and in addition fill the SCSI CDB into the ACMD
space to transfer the ATAPI PACKET command.

Marcus Overhagen bcf291ed9b Removed superflous NULL pointer checks.

Marcus Overhagen b90d663d10 This fixes scroll wheel support, as reported in bug #1625.

Marcus Overhagen eb5b2f6fde Removed a lot of unsave memory handling. 
Check for memory allocation errors.
Added limit to maximum flavor format count (300).
No longer crashes when out_format_count is invalid for B_BUFFER_CONSUMER,
or in_format_count is invalid for B_BUFFER_PRODUCER.

Marcus Overhagen bc3318b640 Rewrote mapping of domains and busses into a virtual bus number to 
allow arbitrary bus numbers. Disabled domain support for __INTEL__.
This should fix bug #1774
