Ingo Weinhold 8d3308d9aa * Added a Bison and a LexC++ rule. 
* Override the Jambase version of the Object rule to optionally generate
  intermediate .cpp instead of .c files for .y and .l input. The
  GENERATE_C++ variable must be set to enable that behavior.
* Added a ResComp rule using the shiny new rc to compile .rdef files into
  .rsrc files.
* Adjusted AddResources to accept both, .rsrc and .rdef files. The rule
  also grists the input files now, avoiding problems with equally named
  resource files in different directories.

Ingo Weinhold e037bfe8cf The introduction of the new virtual SetLimits() is nice in principle, but files compiled with this header implementing a BSlider subclass fail to link against libbe. Introduced a macro that apps can define that need to run under R5 for now.

Ingo Weinhold 2af6058585 Added two open() versions to our kernel_interface, that re-try opening read-only, if desired. They are now used in BDirectory and BNode, which formerly failed on read-only devices.

Ingo Weinhold 2ed834e3f6 Cleaned up BRoster's friends mess. All access to private BRoster functionality is now done through the newly added BRoster::Private class, which is BRoster's only friend (poor BRoster ;-).

Ingo Weinhold 3d2f3f00f1 The basic functionality is complete now (though untested). The user API requests (save the one concerning watching) are handled. Notification stuff is still missing and proper handling of changes to devices, too.

Ingo Weinhold 26dd5fd531 * RVolumeList: 
- Added locking, listener support.
  - Changed message handling from BHandler to MessageHandler interface.
  - Fixed bugs.
* RDiskDeviceList:
  - Locking uses an external lock now (the same one as the volume list)
  - Prepared for message handling (MessageHandler).
* DiskDeviceManager:
  - Added priority message queue and message handler thread -- should be
    more or less complete now.

Ingo Weinhold 8cd6a1c0f8 Added a work-around for the problem, that we can't use libbe's node monitoring functions, when linked against libopenbeos. An application NodeMonitor acts as a mediator. Not an optimal solution, but the only one I have for now -- if someone told me which parameters _k{start,stop}_watching_vnode_() have, things looked much nicer. The work-around is currently only used for the registrar; for other places the code that get the path of NodeMonitor needs to be adjusted.

Ingo Weinhold de40feed71 kernelland_emu is now a shared rather than a static library. The userland versions of the kernel modules are now linked against it and not longer against DiskScannerTest.

Ingo Weinhold b39b76027e Now the partition type string is set to `Unrecognized Type 0xXY', if the type is unknown. If the PTS for an extended partition could not be read, it is ignored.

* Added functionality to convert a PartitionMap to a string and vice versa.
* get_partitioning_parameters() implemented, but not tested.
* The code also needed by the GUI add-on now lives in separate files.
* Some cleanup.

Ingo Weinhold f451c48d3b Rewrote large parts. It's now in nice C++ and should be easier to be extended (partitioning support). Added a lot more checking. Now the module refuse everything that has incorrect partition tables. The BeOS R5 CD is handled correctly now.

Ingo Weinhold f8ab0724d6 * The partition modules have a short_name field now instead of the 
identify_module() hook.
* get_nth_session_module() returns the name of the partition module.
* There is no special handling for CDs anymore. The session modules are
  tried on any device now.
* Fixed a bug in get_buffer() causing a crash when reading from disk
  failed.
