Kevin Adams 38814666ba cpu_type.h: Refinement to CPU strings.
The AMD CPU string logic was updated to add a condition to correctly
identify the AMD Athlon 64 X2.

Both Intel and AMD logic sections were cleaned to remove hardcoded
values that can be provided by the CPU.

Intel logic was cleaned up even more based on what the Intel SDM states
should be used for CPU identification. First use the CPU String if
returned, else use the CPU Brand, else use CPU model/family.

Tested as much as I could in QEMU since I don't have 32bit hardware.

Haiku is an open-source operating system that specifically targets personal computing. Inspired by the BeOS, Haiku is fast, simple to use, easy to learn and yet very powerful.

Trying Haiku

Haiku provides pre-built nightly images and release images. Haiku is compatible with a large variety of hardware, but in case you don't want to "take the plunge" and install Haiku on bare metal, you can install it on a virtual machine (VM) instead. If you've never used a VM before, you can follow one of the "Emulating Haiku" guides.

Haiku is a meritocratic open source project with a large variety of tasks. Even if you can't write code, you can still help! Haiku needs designers, (technical) writers, translators, testers... Get involved and help out!
