Buyer & seller protection
Listing rules apply now. Payment and order protections below are requirements for opening checkout, not services currently available.

Fund the protected order
Once available, the buyer pays crypto into a confirmed protected order. Sellers must verify that order is funded before shipping. No direct wallet or off-platform payments.

Deliver what was promised
The seller ships the item or delivers the code. Proof of dispatch alone does not start the payment clock; delivery must be verified.
- 03
Give the buyer time to check
72 hours for physical items and computer gear; 24 hours for code. A dispute, pending refund, failed delivery, or failed seller check blocks release.
Free to list. A 5% fee when it sells.
Maculab will only take a 5% fee from each successful sale, meaning sellers receive 95% of the payment. There is no listing fee.
Every entered base price is increased by 5% for the buyer. The marketplace fee is then 5% of that buyer total, rounded to the nearest cent. For a $100 base price: buyer total $105, Maculab fee $5.25, seller share $99.75. Adding 5% to the base does not fully offset a 5% fee on the total.
Network and payment provider fees are separate from the marketplace fee and must be disclosed before future payment. These are USD reference calculations, not live crypto quotes. Checkout and payouts are closed.
Accurate listings & honest sellers
- Describe the exact item, condition, known faults, compatibility, specifications, and included accessories. No misleading or counterfeit listings.
- Own the item or hold the right to sell it. Illegal, stolen, unsafe, or restricted goods are prohibited.
- Include shipping in the displayed price and state delivery regions and timing. Disclose every charge before an order; no surprise fees.
- Use a linked Maculab account. Seller identity and payout verification must be implemented before payments open. A published listing is not a verification badge.
- Listings need moderator approval and expire automatically 30 days after submission. Sellers can withdraw their listings.
Delivery, the hold period & disputes
- Physical goods and computer equipment: payout can become eligible 72 hours after verified delivery to the buyer.
- Code: payout can become eligible 24 hours after verified digital delivery. Uploading a file or marking an order shipped does not prove delivery.
- Non-delivery, a dispute, cancellation, a pending refund, or missing verification prevents automatic payout. Unresolved claims freeze release until a documented review is completed. The hold period ending does not erase an existing complaint or the seller’s obligations.
- Future checkout must provide a way to report missing, damaged, counterfeit, or materially misdescribed goods and unusable or unauthorized code before release. Confirmed non-delivery, counterfeit or materially misdescribed goods, and unusable or unauthorized code qualify for refund review, including original shipping. Sellers cover approved return shipping for their errors.
- The final delivery verification, returns, evidence, and appeal process must be published before orders open. There are no orders or live dispute service yet.
Code, licenses & device safety
- Code listings require a ZIP upload of up to 20 MiB containing the software, README, and license. Only the seller and shop administrators can download it. An administrator must review the archive before publication. Archive validation never executes uploaded code and is not a malware scan or safety certification.
- Describe functionality, supported platforms, dependencies, setup requirements, and exactly what files or source code the buyer receives.
- State the license and ownership rights, including commercial use, redistribution, updates, support, and third-party license obligations.
- No malware, hidden remote access, credential theft, pirated software, stolen accounts, or code that violates someone else’s rights.
- Do not include real secrets, access tokens, personal data, or private keys in a listing or digital delivery.
- Buyers should inspect code and evaluate it in an isolated sandbox. Review is not a malware scan or security certification. Used devices should be wiped and removed from account locks.
Crypto payments & refunds
- Crypto only. ETH, LTC, BTC, SOL, and USDC are planned; XMR support is coming later. USDC’s network still needs confirmation. No payments are accepted during preview.
- The crypto amount, network, exchange rate, quote expiry, transaction fees, and complete order total must be shown before payment.
- Only a verified, funded protected order can authorize shipment. A screenshot, wallet message, or transaction claim is not enough.
- Crypto transfers have no guaranteed chargeback. A protected refund process, refund denomination, network fees, and return conditions must be disclosed before checkout opens.
- Do not pay now. There is no live escrow, insurance, buyer guarantee, refund processing, or seller payout service.
Privacy, scams & reporting
- Keep wallet addresses, external links, email addresses, phone numbers, and other off-platform contact or payment instructions out of listings.
- Never share a seed phrase, private key, password, or verification code. Maculab does not need them to release a payment.
- Do not publish a home address or other private information. Delivery information should only be shared through a protected order process once available.
- Use “Report listing” for suspicious, unsafe, misleading, or prohibited content. Do not put private payment details or secrets in a report.
- Moderators may reject or remove listings and suspend abusive accounts. Listing reports are available now; payment disputes require the future order system.
Automation & current limits
- Active automation: the server checks for expired listings every minute and when the shop is accessed. Pending and approved listings expire after 30 days.
- Listings stay private until a moderator approves them. Listing submissions record acceptance of this dated policy.
- Payment confirmation, verified delivery, dispute handling, refunds, and timed payouts are not connected. Checkout stays closed until those protections are ready.
- When enabled, timed payout eligibility must check confirmed funding, verified delivery, seller eligibility, and a clear dispute/refund state.
- No marketplace can promise a risk-free transaction. This preview does not claim audited custody, insurance, verified sellers, or guaranteed protection.
