Handling Ctrl-Home / Ctrl-End shortcuts in non-editable mode left the
caret offset unchanged. That provoked stuck of the page scrolling mode.
Reset the caret offset on such actions. Fixes#9407.
The Problem was observed in the Time Preferences Zone view - the
selection was set inside of TimeZoneView::DoLayout() call on
the OutlineListView control that had zero-sized Bounds. After
the control was resized the selection stay mainly hidden "under"
the upper edge. The Problem looks like generic so should be fixed
in the interface kit code. Proposed fix introduces additional check
for the scroll position to not cross the top edge of control.

Fixing the autoconf test: attempt to create file in place of already
existing symlink. On error exit put_vnode was called explicitly before
returning error. The second, implicit call to put_vnode was issued on
destroying the VNodePutter instance that references the same vnode. At
this time the vnode has references count equal to 0 so corresponding
panic was executed. Great thanks to Ingo for pointing it out!

Looks like it works with default controls count 128 on default Haiku
builds but force media-addons-server to crash in case KDEBUG_LEVEL is set
to 0. Thanks to Vitaly Diger for pointing out and testing this issue.

In case control transfer is finished with STALL answer from device only
the setup TD is retired into the Done Queue but other TDs (data and
status) are left in the ED queue. HC set the endpoint halted - so we
process such endpoint regardless of it's non-empty queue.

Partially fixes#1045.
Starting from our GCC 4.7.3 the shared library -nostart option is not
valid anymore. Replace it with -shared one that works in GCC2 build
environment too.
* Switch bash, debugger, less, telnet[d] and top apps to use termcap
functionality provided by ncurses lib instead of GNU libtermcap.so;
* NetBSD version of tput utility replaced with ncurses' one. Fixes#9606;
* terminfo database is provided as mandatory package installed during
building target system;
* Remove libtermcap module. The termcap database source and
corresponding build rules are not removed to provide backward compatibility -
until all optional packages will be rebuild on upcoming system version
using terminfo. Note that gcc2 builds may require to provide termcap a bit
longer in the sake of binary compatibility with R5 era apps.
* Fix GB18030 Chinese encoding support for two and four bytes long
characters. This finally resolves issue described in #6227;
* Processing of multi-byte characters was slightly refactored too;
* Remove the multi-byte 94/96 graphsets designation support for
Japanese encodings. That looks like MuTerm rudiment, it had incomplete
implementation and looked like abandoned. On the other hand multi-byte
designation must be implemented in the same way as designation for
single-byte graphsets was done. Note that this multi-byte graphsets
designation has nothing to do with the normal encoding support for
usual data flow conversion - so you will be on the safe side when
use terminal encoding menu switch.
The removed feature is the ancient technique to achieve different charsets
support on 8-bit serial lines by assigning (designating) predefined
sets of characters to G0, G1, G2 and G3 and selecting them during
program life-time into GL (x20-x07E) or GR (xA0-xFF) areas by using LS
or SS functions.
For example xterm has no support for designation multi-byte graphsets
at all. Anyway if this feature is required and you can provide the
test environment - please let me know and I will be glad to implement
this feature in more easy and consistent way;
* Remove unreferenced gSmbcsTable and gScsTable parsing tables that
looks like is not used anymore;
* Remove gCS96GroundTable and gMbcsTable parsing tables that were used
by multi-byte 94/96 Japanese graphsets support and now obsoleted by
removing mentioned feature;
* Remove some obsoleted #defines, like HW statusline support for
example, from parse tables definition.
Looks like switching to declare "xterm-256color" terminal emulation was
made a bit early: there are lot of servers that still do not know about
this terminal. As was discussed in #9636 the only acceptable way is to
switch back to "xterm" and adjust corresponding entry in our local
termcap database to support 256 colors. So this changeset:
* Declare emulated terminal as "xterm";
* Change the colors and color pairs of "xterm" termcap entry to support
256 colors;
Workarounds the #9636. Should be upgraded to "xterm-256color" some time
in the future.
* Encoding cell of the StyledEdit StatusView is visible now only in case
the currently opened file encoding is not equal to default UTF-8 one;
* The Encodings menu that was opened by click on this cell is removed;
* Cmd-Opt-PgDn/PgUp shortcuts are added for quick iteration through the
list of encodings.
In sake of consistency with other Windows CP encodings:
* print_name is expanded to "Windows Central European (CP 1250)";
* B_MS_WINDOWS_1250_CONVERSION id looks like should be added into UTF8.h;
* mime_name set to NULL as other windows codepages have. That prevents
at least from duplicating too much 1250's in the Terminal, Mail and
StyledEdit encodings menus.
In the Terminal data model every full width character occupies two cells
in the data buffers. The second cell of such characters is not drawn and
used mainly to differentiate between full width and half width
characters.
Proposed fix zeroes the attributes of the second cell in the
HistoryBuffer::GetTerminalLineAt() that prevents the potential endless
loops in the BasicTerminalBuffer::_ResizeRedraw(). Those loops were
result of the random attributes in full width character's second cells.
* Re-enable full-width characters detection and display;
* Fix cursor drawing on full-width characters;
* Fix debug dump for multi-byte characters;
* Fix file permissions for debug capture log.

Improve the unicode character processing and classifying routines by
wrapping up the UChar32 procedures from ICU. That fixes functional
regression introduced in hrev38017 and allows to fix East Asian Width
problems int the Temrinal.
Optional parameter %e to indicate current tab view encoding in the
window title. It is not shown in case tab view encoding is default
UTF-8. Inspired by Sergei Reznikov. Thanks.
* Switch UTF8Char's IsSpace, IsAlNum, ToLower functions to use
system-wide BUnicodeChar service routines;
* Switch TermView::CharClassifier to use UTF8Char instead of
raw char* string ponter. That reduces count of conversions

No need for PREF_HALF_FONT_FAMILY/_STYLE defaults to be defined explicitly,
these entries will be filled with corresponding params of the current system
fixed font if they are not available from the settings file.

Fixes issue with missed SIGWINCH shell notification in case the
Terminal frame was resized by using any of "Settings"->"Window size"
menu items.

Handle the current attributes of the TextBuffer consistently with other
Alt/Normal buffer sensitive variables. That fixes, for example, issues
with wrong background coloring of new lines in normal text buffer after
maximizing the terminal window running applications (like MC) performing
output onto alternate screen.
This modification moves the debug characters capture call directly into
the _NextParseChar(). That allows to capture all data flow without
missing things like OSC control sequences.
Yet another fix for the terminal cursor save/restore functionality.
Fixes wrong cursor positions observed in modern versions of the
Midnight Commander during switching between Alternate and Normal buffers.
Fix the PrefHandler::_ConfirmFont to take into account not only the
font family but the font style too. This improves the popup menu
checkmark synchronization in the Preferences View. This problem can
be reproduced on very first start of application without previously
stored Terminal settings. Default family/style for this case is
currently defined as "Courier 19BT"/"Regular" but default fixed
font has correspondently "DejaVu Sans Mono"/"Book". Previous version
of _ConfirmFont() process only the family and left the style in default
"Regular" one. So opening Preferences View and attempting to set the
checkmark on corresponding family/style menuitem was usually failed.

This is cumulative cleanup commit for series of Terminal refactoring
changes I have introduced last time. No significant functional changes.
* ColorsTable moved to TerminalBuffer to let easy lookup of table
during parsing of control sequences;
* Default Palette initialized from now in TermApp and preserved
from modifying by applications;
Use native bold font for rendering characters with corresponding
attribute set. Possibility for switching to R5-like bold characters
emulation is also implemented. This one uses uses the left-down shadow
in B_OP_BLEND drawing mode instead of the rigth-down one as previously.
* Add support for underline and i-beam cursor shapes. No corresponding
UI configuration in preferences view ATM because preferences are waiting
for refactoring and we need some eggs for this Easters. ;-)
* Add handling of VT520/xterm specific DECSCUSR control sequences
allowing applications to modify the style and blinking state of the
cursor. May be utilized, for example, by console version of vim;
* Implement cursor blinking/hiding on DECSET/DECRST commands.
Previous implementation doesn't care about characters that are not
covered by attributes run length array elements - so the attributes of
the next run array element was taken instead of default one on the
HistoryBuffer::GetTerminalLine() call. Note that this was the case of
"holes" in run array but not the characters after the end of run array
elements.
* Lot of fixes to add support of BCE (background color erase). Shell
is switched to emulate xterm-256colors terminal, that is modern and
declare the colors capabilities of our Terminal more precisely;
* Move current character attributes fAttr from TermView to
BasicTerminalBuffer. This reduces count of function parameters on call
various InsertXXX routines;
* In alternative screen buffer mode the whole cells "matrix" of the
screen buffers is taken into account during drawing background of the
cells in the view. In normal mode the "attributes" field of the
TerminalLine is used to detect color of the area after the last
character - there should be no changes with previous behaviour;
* Fix attributes on kSpaceChar-padding short lines. Current _line_
attributes should be used instead of current _global_ attributes;
* Fixed pads and gaps attributes, more accurate handling of ESC[K and K°;
* _Invalidate strings just erased. Fix EraseChars DCH processing;
* Fixes for ESC[J erase lines control sequences;
* Added handling SGR 90-97, 100-107 codes;

lines. The current line attributes should be used instead of

Two helper functions introduced: "make debug snapshots" triggered by
Ctrl-Cmd-S shortcut and "capture data flow" triggered by Ctrl-Cmd-C
shortcut. The first one makes debug dump of current data both in visual
and in text buffer, including history lines if they available. The second
one mirrors all characters and control sequences that are flowing
through the Parser. Both dump and capture files are saved under /var/log
folder. That functionality available only if the USE_DEBUG_SNAPSHOTS switch is
defined.
This reverts hrev38316 in parts of foreground and background colors
handling. Mentioned revision has hardcoded colors to system ANSI color
entries 7 and 0 correspondently. It is very uncomfortable for the
console programs like Midnight Commander because they become
colors that were defined in the current Terminal scheme and doesn't
correspond to real ANSI color names. For example "ANSI black" can be
black, white, blue, gray or something else in dependency of the current
color scheme configuration. The same side-effect was obviously observed
for "ANSI white" and produced funny color combinations in software.
* Global kTermColorTable replaced with it's private copy for every
TermView instance. This allows to modify colors table for every view
separately;
* Set of ANSI normal/bright color entries added into preferences;
* Default color table generated dynamicaly using ANSI colors
preferences. 6x6x6 color cubes and grayscale ramp are generated in
xterm colors model;
* Improoved support of Operating System Command control sequences;
* Support for X11 rgb.txt compatible color names. Corresponding entries
are stored in hashed form in application resource and loaded only on
demand.
* PREF_SHELL is not used anymore, corresponding entry in /etc/passwd
should be used instead;
* PREF_GUI_LANGUAGE is not actual anymore - we have system-wide
UI localization support;
* Fix typo in the name of MSG_SET_TERMNAL_TITLE constant.
Terminal is GUI application and there are no need to emulate bold
in some kind of color adjustments, especially in case the proposed
emulation look is too far away from results observed on similar software
like xterm, Konsole and XFCE Terminal.
New version of termcap.src was generated using the "master" terminfo.src
database taken from the ncurses 5.9 package. This database is looking
like only one up-to-date I have found. This update is pre-requisite for
lot of Terminal BCE refactoring changes that follow soon;
File was generated using "tic -CrtT" command and was fixed for unpaired
:fs= and :sp= entries to satisfy ncurses' sanity check.
* %T placeholder added into the set, available for customizing main
Terminal window title. It should be typically replaced by the
application name localized for the currect system locale.
* Use B_TRANSLATE instead of B_TRANSLATE_SYSTEM_NAME for the first
menu entry in the main TermWindow menu. The meaning of "Terminal"
term in this menu is the "Terminal session" but not the "Terminal
Application" so using separate catkeys entry for this menu item
avoids this inconsistency in Terminal UI localization;

This work is based on the draft node monitoring implementation
created by Vlad Slepukhin during GCI 2012 and includes following:
* Refactoring of the document "Reload" feature - it replaces
"Revert to saved" one because do the same things and a bit more.
Looks like we have to keep "Reload" menu entry alive until
StyledEdit will get more functional Undo/Redo features. Reload
functionality is also heavily used in node monitoring and
on-the-fly text encoding changing. Fixes#6887;
* Support for text encoding on-the-fly switching. This make
life easier for those who lives in countires with multiple
popular 8-bit encodings. Russia is the sample of such
de facto standards' clash (KOI-8R vs CP1251 etc.);
* Node Monitoring support with alerting user in case the file
size or modification time were changed. Another alert is shown
in case edited file was removed or moved outside of the current
volume. Moving file inside of current volume silently changes
references. Choosing "Ignore" will supress new change alerts
until next Reload or Save user request;
* Do not nag user on quiting window with zero-length untitled
document. Not a Big Deal but annoys in some cases using this
editor session as temporary storage.
* Fixed issue with unwanted keymap switching in case UnZip started in
* background (expanding optional packages during Haiku build, for
* example). UnZip executable has no background application flag

Omitting this call left invalid reference to deleted group in the
multicast groups hash-map and any upcoming attempt to join the group will
crash the system. Fixes#6736.
If Haiku has the hostname set, inform DHCP server with corresponding
option in DHCPDISCOVER and DHCPREQUEST messages. That should simplify
accessing Haiku hosts by using it's hostname instead of raw addresses.
* Restore std::cout flags (CID11245, CID11246) after using hexadecimal
and zero-filled flags;
