Stefano Ceccherini 37b835fc06 This should fix the build for StyledEdit (we need to link against our libtextencodings.so). Note that, for StyledEdit to work, you need our libtextencodings.so either in a lib subfolder in the stylededit folder or in a system library directory.

Stefano Ceccherini 7446a252ed Fixed a crash when running beshare with our BTextView (thanks to Andrew Bachmann for reporting), though it's a bit hackish, added some printfs to TextView.cpp to help finding/fixing bugs, a small optimization to WidthBuffer. Should convert and commit WidthBuffer's tests to cppunit tests sooner or later.

Stefano Ceccherini d8b4d83df2 Changed a bit the behaviour of BOptionPopUp::SetValue(). We now differ a bit from what R5 does. The old implementation is still there and just ifdeffed out, though. 
Added some private unimplemented methods I had forgot, fixed some spelling errors, finished documenting what was missing.

Stefano Ceccherini 5480b4590e Another patch from Oliver Tappe: BString behaves better when the user supplies out-of bounds values in Insert(), Remove(), etc. 
Code is refactored, and it fully complies with our guidelines.
Tests have been updated too (hint: try the replace tests with R5 and our implementation...)

Stefano Ceccherini 76f8475798 Some more work on the undo buffer. Added a quick and dirty implementation of WidthBuffer (it's needed by OpenTracker). We'll want to implement it correctly. 
Multi-byte character insertion/deletion works now in TextView (thanks to Marc Flerackers)

Stefano Ceccherini 4be90e7fc1 Fixed a possible buffer overflow in r_or() and r_sub() (thanks to Ingo Weinhold for his advices), stripped BRegion of all his friends, and moved them into a single class (BRegion::Support()). Removed "find_small_bottom()", as we didn't use it at all. Added some debugging output to BRegion::Support (that will help fixing bugs)

Stefano Ceccherini b032f97253 - Fixed text pasting 
- Fixed text moving
- Almost completely implemented Undo capabilities
- in BTextView::GetSupportedSuites(BMessage *data): added the suites name
- fixed BTextView::Insert(int32, const char *, int32, const text_run_array *), it didn't
  take offset into account
- undo is disabled by default (even if the BeBook says the opposite)
- added B_SELECT_ALL message handler
- now it doesn't select anything if the object isn't selectable
- drag message is now filled in BTextView::GetDragMessage() as it should, and not in
  BTextView::InitiateDrag()
- changed all deprecated SetCursor() calls to SetViewCursor()
- added some NormalizeFont() calls, while trying to fix the multi-byte insertion bug

Stefano Ceccherini 8d1a0ee7c1 Fixed a bug in BRegion copy constructor. If one constructed a BRegion with 
BRegion region(region), the region would have been put into an unitialized state. Took the chance to cleanup a bit the code, using some methods of clipping.h. Changed the way offset_rect works, and changed its name too. Added a note to Region.cpp

Stefano Ceccherini ba92606354 Fixed SetRunArray(). It was callign StyleBuffer::SetStyleRange() with a BFont** pointer instead of a BFont* one (that fix is by Marc Flerackers, as the whole class, BTW :)). Refactored CharClassification(), also added some more separator characters. Also foreign characters should be added here (Andrew?). Fixed [Allow][Disallow]Chars(). Fixed a linking issue when we don't link to libbe.

Stefano Ceccherini 336449f921 Fixed (hopefully) and uglified r_or. It wasn't just ugly enough before :P. 
Implemented sort_trans (now I understood what it was for). Include methods should really work now. Note that r_or uses 8Kb on the stack everytime it's called, no matter how many rectangles it has to elaborate. Can be changed, though. Some cleanups.

Stefano Ceccherini b8922a588b Fixed some small bugs in (sub|or)_region_complex. Fixed a freezing bug in sort_rects. Implemented r_or. Now just r_sub is missing. 
Tested Include methods and IntersectWith(). They work fine.

Stefano Ceccherini 319b95be85 Implemented sub_region_complex and or_region_complex. They divide the plane into horizontal bands, then pass the area to r_sub or r_or, which do the real work. Tested xxx_region_complex with R5's r_or and r_sub: they work fine. Just those last functions are missing now. Documented a bit more the private C functions.

Stefano Ceccherini 15cfed465c Fixed sort_rects(). Rects are sorted by their top value, not by their left as I tought in the first place. I had already fixed or_region_no_x, I just forgot to update sort_rects(). 
Fixed a typing bug in PrintToStream().
Added a comment.

Stefano Ceccherini 518c1e3f62 When you changed the refresh rate for all workspaces, then selected "cancel" the changes didn't revert... Fixed. Some more cleanups. Some code (not compiled right now, it works partially) to change the way the example screen is rendered (bitmaps instead of drawing)

Stefano Ceccherini 2d4125b748 this should be the definitive (excluded bugfixes) implementation of BBufferIO. Buffered write should work fine, as buffered read did.

Stefano Ceccherini 5235e06864 When you pass a negative number as Truncate() argument, the string is truncated to a length of 0 (before Truncate() just did nothing), because it makes more sense (there isn't any problem with R5 compatibility, because here R5's BString just crashed).

Stefano Ceccherini b2c7cb6f60 In the R4's bebook, they say BScreen objects shouldn't be 
constructed on the heap, and a BScreen object should be keep for
as little time as possible, because it locks the screen.
This doesn't seem to be the case in R5, but I am happier this way...
