Stefano Ceccherini 557dfeeb12 Implemented CalcFrame() and used it to limit the menu frame's size (actually, only the width for now). This shows that TruncateLabel() works.

Stefano Ceccherini cab8c0900c Implemented and used TruncateLabel(), courthesy of Olivier Milla. Note that its use is never triggered at the moment, because our menu frame just adapt to any content size, even if it goes out of the screen (!)

Stefano Ceccherini f353b33a85 MenuWindows seems to behave better this way on our app_server. We should either find the right flags/feel combination or test and implement support for kMenuWindowFeel within the app server.

Stefano Ceccherini d039af7469 Reverted to the previous algorithm, which is just another version of the same one: they produce slightly different results, but this one should be faster as it doesn't use divisions.

Note that the inversion_map and the index_map aren't the same as in Beos, due to bugs (or different behaviour) in color_distance.

Stefano Ceccherini aa6f42c954 DispatchMessage() is called with the looper already locked, so we call fLink->Flush() directly, which does not lock it again. Changed some TODO to be more informative, removed one.

Stefano Ceccherini 3cbe14a4ce Reimplemented set_screen_space() in function of BScreen::SetMode(). This way we can get rid of the extra AS_SET_SCREEN_MODE in the app server. "ported" mode2parms from BWindowScreen, which should be changed to use set_screen_space() instead of doing its own stuff.

Stefano Ceccherini 8eae8b05e8 Every BApplication (even applications which didn't use it) allocated a BPrivateScreen object. Now they are created/destroyed on demand (when a BScreen object is constructed), and reference counted, so that there is still only one per app. Note that since we are creating/deleting them, constructing a BScreen object can be more time consuming than before, but personally I find this approach much cleaner.

Stefano Ceccherini 7475dcdf3a Added an app server command to retrieve the color map. Made some adjustments to SystemPalette.cpp, implemented support for it in BPrivateScreen. Moved get_scs() a bit down to avoid a deadlock. Note that getting the colormap doesn't work due to port capacity limit (?)

Stefano Ceccherini 45ca1c948c Simplified code for BView::ClipToPicture() a lot (both server side and client side). Regions passed with that method should take the place of regions passed with BView::ConstrainClippingRegion(). Note that the needed server support hasn't yet been implemented.

Stefano Ceccherini b54a7c449e Stolen Ingo's code and implemented bitmaps_support_space(). Now BBitmap::InitObject() uses that one instead of the private method. I was obviously wrong about bitmaps_support_space() and get_pixel_size_for().

Stefano Ceccherini 8b47fd8708 MenuWindow's look is now B_BORDERED_WINDOW_LOOK, so we can avoid drawing the border ourselves. 
Now BMenu caches its windows instead of creating a new  one every time. This last change could be reverted, though, as we could end up keeping around too many windows.

Stefano Ceccherini 335b47697c Added a small test for GetMouse(). 
Looks like that, when called with "true" as third parameter,
it "eats" all the input messages like B_MOUSE_UP/B_MOUSE_MOVED. That means our implementation isn't correct.
